Remote access via a secure Web browser to the Pay/No-Pay and Inquiry modules in the S5000 is available when the S5000i add-on is utilized.

IMAGE FILES AND DATABASE

The S5000 uses SQL Server as the database in Unisys environments and Oracle as the database in IBM environments. DATAVISION will customize the S5000 to an Oracle, SQL Server or Access database upon customer request, as an additional option.

The S5000 uses native Unisys image files in the FIM, RIM and IDX formats. In IBM environments, the images must be trans-coded to TIFF binary images, preferably in CCITT Group 4 format.

TEST RESULTS

Test results of DATAVISION's signature recognition software have been outstanding. They indicate that:

DATAVISION signature recognition software can detect fraudulent items at speeds up to 600 items per minute per PC.
In side-by-side comparisons with experienced signature verification operators, the S5000 software was able to detect fraud 7-10 times better than a human.
In a comparison of human errors versus computer errors, the S5000 software was 4 times more accurate.
And, in a comparison of items that were accepted even though they had problems, the S5000 software was 7 times more reliable than human operators.
