DATAVISION offers users of complex legacy systems, such as Vector 12, various ways to continue using their legacy software while adding new features necessary for Check 21 compliance.

DATAVISION's Series 3000 is a Windows XP-compatible software system fully compatible with host-based Vector 12 signature software. Check 21-compliant features may be added to Series 3000.

Our Series 3000 system allows Windows XP PC's to run in an emulation mode, with the addition of new features that were not available when the host software was first implemented. These new features can include reports not previously available under the older legacy system, or new forms of information presentation that enable better decision making.

As just one example, the Series 3000 software allows users of Vector 12 to continue using the host program while adding check and signature images to the screens.

The Series 3000 M32Image software processes a signature card document captured in a TIFF format (or other industry standard format specified) and allows the signature image to be extracted from the document. The signature image is then placed in a VSAM compatible record, allowing it to be transmitted over an SNA Network for host-based signature storage or through a LAN for local file server storage. Check images may be added and will be stored as TIFF images, filed by sequence number. Internal logic within the S3000 M32Image software allows the images to be displayed on the Vector 12 screens.

Signatures stored on the host can be managed by many popular host programs such as HOGAN, Sterling Vector Signature and several others. The Series 3000 is currently in use at several large financial institutions around the United States.

This adaptation allows legacy, integrated support subsystems, often the result of many years of effort and many dollars of investment, to be preserved even as new capabilities are added. In many cases, offshore implementations of these solutions are possible.
